Pachelbel, Forever by the Sea
Pachelbel's Canon remains one of the most peaceful and
mesmerizing classical compositions of all time. By blending the sounds of the sea with
seven arrangements of this celebrated piece, Solitudes has created a listening experience
that is both majestic and serene. Johann Pachelbel originally composed his famous Canon as
a charming, seven minute piece for a chamber ensemble. Musically, it is a three part canon
constructed over an ostinato bass with a two bar harmonic sequence repeated throughout.
